Although CBS has pushed back season 5 of its drama thriller "Person of Interest" to a mid-season premiere in the winter of next year, the series will get a streaming debut on video buffet Netflix next month, according to Netflix Life.

There has been speculation that the show is on its last legs at the network and will not even get a full season order for the fifth installment. In the past, shows that have made a complete series streaming debut on Netflix have seen their network performances strengthen.

With any luck, "Person of Interest" will get the same boost, which it so desperately needs, when it debuts next month on the popular streaming service. Since Netflix is an all-inclusive service and not an al-a-carte streaming platform, potential fans could binge stream the show's fours seasons and quickly pick up on at the season 5 premiere.

Of course, the show would have to catch the interest of Netflix subscribers first, but that shouldn't be too hard. Most people who subscribe to the streaming buffet like to "binge watch" several seasons of TV shows in a row.

The show is premised on artificial intelligence that helps John Reese, played by Jim Caviezel, solve and prevent crimes. The thriller action kicks into high gear when competing artificial intelligence factions vie for a larger share of the market. The Machine feeds these "POI's" to his character and he goes out and pursues them.

The series was the brainchild of Jonathon Nolan, who also helped brother Christopher Nolan create some of his most memorable movies like "The Dark Knight," "The Dark Knight Rises," "Memento" and "The Prestige."

The two talents combined have brought such compelling television episodes to fans, that there has been a surge of interest in the show. Nolan has also co-created a new sci-fi western series on HBO called "Westworld."
