As expected, Apple will be making a major announcement in September like they typically do. According to Tech Crunch, this event will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 9 in San Francisco.

The event is expected to be a product introduction, and it could be a new iPhone, a new Apple TV or possibly both.

Apple sent out invites to the press for the Sept. 9 event. The invitation says, "Hey Siri, give us a hint."

More than likely this is the official announcement for the next iPhone, likely called the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The new iPhone is expected to use a stronger material, 7000 Series aluminum, use Force Touch, be equipped with the brand new A9 processor, double its RAM to 2 GB and include a more powerful camera.

For the first time in an iPhone, the iPhone 6s might feature animated backgrounds. The iPhone 6s is also expected to use a smaller battery due to increased efficiency from the A9 processor.

The new iPhones are expected to use the upcoming iOS 9 operating system. iOS 9 is expected to include minor updates but become much more secure than previous versions of iOS. The second version of watchOS, the operating system used in the Apple Watch, is also expected to be unveiled at the event.

Apple is keeping quiet on the event, just posting a copy of the invitation sent out to the media on their website. Apple tells visitors of the page that they can watch the event live online.

Even Siri has been updated to keep the event secret. If users try to say the phrase, "Hey Siri, give me a hint," the digital voice assistant will reply with four snarky answers, according to Mac Rumors.

Here is how she will reply when asked to provide a hint on the event:

"You'll have to wait until 9 September. I bet you were one of those kids who snuck downstairs to open presents early, weren't you?

"The only hint I can give you right now is a hint of lime. And that there's a big announcement on 9 September.

"Well, I hear there's something big happening on 9 September.

"You're cute when you're desperate for information."
