Tobias Strebel, a 35-year-old man who shot to fame after he spent over $100,000 in plastic surgery to look like Justin Bieber, was found dead in a motel last week.

Officials say that Strebel, who went by the name Toby Sheldon, was found on Friday, Aug. 21 in a Motel 6 room in Los Angeles, three days after he was reported missing, TMZ reported. Sources told KABC Eyewitness News that "medications" were also discovered in the reality star's motel room, which is located in the 15700 block of Roscoe Boulevard in North Hills,

Before he went missing, witnesses say Strebel was last seen on Aug. 18 in the 1700 block of North Orange Grove Avenue in West Hollywood.

Strebel made headlines when he opened up about his decision to go under the knife in order to look like Justin Bieber during his appearances on the shows "Botched" and "My Strange Addiction." He said that he had many surgical procedures, including hair transplants, lip surgery and a chin reduction. As a result, Strebel said he spent "well over $100,000" on about a dozen surgeries in an interview with Inside Edition.

He was also featured on talk shows like "Bethenny" and "The Doctors."

Strebel explained that he was inspired to look like Bieber, "Once Justin shot to fame, his face was everywhere and I all I kept thinking when I saw his picture was, 'I want to look like him.'"

Like the pop star, Strebel wrote and recorded his music and was shown in a recording studio back in a July 2014 episode of "Botched."

"The gift of writing music is not something you can learn. You can have to have that inner creativity; you have to have something to say. You have to be lyrically gifted," he said on the show, according to USA Today. "You have to know what's catchy. It's just something I've come to master."

The Los Angeles Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy on Wednesday.
