Fans of "Jane the Virgin" can look forward to falling in love with the popular comedy series all over again, when it kicks off its second season in October.

Season 1 ended with a bang, as Jane, played by series star Gina Rodriguez, gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Mateo, who was then kidnapped by Sin Rostro. Meanwhile, Petra (Yael Grobglas) took Rafael's (Justin Baldoni) swimmers home from the fertility clinic. Plus, Jane's parents, Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio (Jaime Camil), admitted that they got drunk and eloped in Last Vegas.

After attending the first official table read for Season 2 of the breakout comedy series, E! Online exclusively reports that the premiere episode will include lots of emotions and laughter that will immediately get viewers hooked.

The theme at the table read, which was held at the Marbella hotel, was the welcoming of baby Mateo. Director Brad Silberling, executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman, and the stars of the show were all in attendance, alongside members of the press.

E! also reports that it will only take one episode before fans will likely be torn between choosing Team Rafael or Team Michael (Brett Dier).

Just like in Season 1, Urman also teased that a compelling storyline will unfold throughout the new season.

"There's definitely a long-term mystery that has to do with Sin Rostro," the showrunner told TVLine. She added that the season will be building to Jane's wedding, but she didn't say who Jane will actually marry.

"She makes a choice in the first five [episodes]. Whether that's the choice or a choice, I can't say," Urman said, suggesting that Jane will have another dilemma between Rafael and Michael. "We play a little bit [with the] who, and then she realizes who she wants to be with at this moment."
