On the first episode of "Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," Will Smith, along with the host, taught audiences a thing or two about the evolution of hip-hop dancing. Their presentation ended with Fallon twerking while the actor exited the stage, not wanting to do anything with the dance move. Watch the clip below.

But after all the joking around, Smith sat down and got a bit serious with Fallon. The actor talked about the lessons he learned after years of working in the entertainment industry, and the advice he gives to his children since they're also pursuing the same career path.

Courtesy of HipHopDX, Smith told Fallon, "It can get definitely scary, you know. In the last few years with my kids coming into the business it starts to be scary. But I tell them all the time, 'You just keep loving people. The thing is to make sure with your art your art is a gift to people to help their lives be better and to be brighter.'"

He added, "And what happens a lot of times is you'll see people fail in this business is they're in there for their ego and they start doing it for them. And it's like no, it's like you're trying to help people to just get through the day. And you do it really well."

Fallon then brought up the actor's upcoming birthday in September and asked how he feels about turning 45 this year. Smith hinted that he has no plans to slow down as he approaches the next stage of his life. He answered, "I'm 45 right now. Right? And with the state of modern medicine - 90, we're all probably gonna hit 90. 90's like a real thing now... So, I was thinking, 'This is halftime,' right? So, when you come out for the third quarter, in any sporting event the third quarter's an important quarter. That's not the time when you start relaxing and you start chilling. You gotta go get it in the third quarter."

Aside from Smith, other celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, Tina Fey, and Joan Rivers also made appearances on the debut episode of the "Tonight Show", as reported by The Guardian.
