Just before the 2015 NBA Season starts, Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook ties the knot.

Westbrook marries his longtime college girlfriend Nina Earl in a simple, chic and intimate outdoors wedding ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Aug. 29, People reported. The couple exchanged their marital vows in front of their family, relatives and very close friends, including basketball stars Kevin Love, Kevin Durant and James Harden, who was with Khloe Kardashian.

The 26-year-old Long Beach-born athlete and his wife truly looked so happy during the special day of their lives as seen on the photo below.

The radiant bride wore two wedding gowns made by high-caliber designers. One gown was designed by Vera Wang while the other gown was made by Monique Lhuillier. The groom sported a Tom Ford tuxedo.

Although People recently just confirmed the news, TMZ already announced the pair's intention to wed this weekend. The site even informed the plan of the couple, who were both playing for the UCLA's men's and women's basketball teams when they first met, to hold the wedding in Beverly Hills.

In September 2014, TMZ also broke the news that the two were engaged, with Westbrook giving Earl a ring worth $700,000.

Durant's a very close friend.

It would not be a surprise for fans to see the Thunder's superstar there in the very special event. Durant was very open of their brotherly love, as reported in USA Today in 2014.

"I could speak all night about Russell. An emotional guy who would run through a wall for me. There are days when I want to just tackle you and tell you to snap out of it sometimes. I know there's days you want to do the same with me. I love you man. A lot of people put unfair criticism on you as a player, and I'm the first to have your back through it all. Just stay the person you are. Everybody loves you here. I love you," the 2008 NBA Rookie of The Year said.

Even when asked this August about his possible free agency status in 2016, Durant just delivered a cryptic message to his fans, noting how even in this kind of topic, he could still inject Westbrook's name candidly, SB Nation noted.
