With only a few episodes of "Lo Imperdonable" left, many fans are speculating the future of Ana Brenda Contreras' character just as much as they speculate about the star's rumored relationship with costar Iván Sánchez.

According to Radio Fórmula, Contreras is currently filming her last few scenes for the telenovela and that may include filming her character's death scene, if the rumors are true.

Rumors of her character, Verónica, being killed off started during an interview with the show's producer, Salvador Mejía, who teased that the character could die.

Since the telenovela began there have also been rumors about Contreras and her costar, Iván Sánchez, being romantically involved. The actors have been praised for their undeniable onscreen and off-screen chemistry and, according to Contreras, that is only because the two actors get along well.

Contreras recently spoke out against rumors of a romantic relationship between her and Sánchez, who is married to Elia Galera. The 28-year-old explained that she and Sánchez were frustrated that their performances were attributed to a scandalous relationship instead of just for their talents, reported El Cinco.

"I know that this story is constantly being repeated," said the actress about the speculation. "Am I or am I not with him because we are always spotted together? I'm not interested in clarifying anything and I just let them keep talking."

Reportedly, because of all the media attention the two stars have received, Sánchez's wife traveled from Spain to be with her husband to help dismiss rumors of the actor being involved with Contreras.

According to Televisa Espectáculos, Contreras is currently enjoying being single and credits her chemistry with Sánchez to their characters and the telenovela's plot.

"If they speculate it means that the telenovela's couple is working well, that they like us together, and that is the final point," said the actress.

The series finale for "Lo Imperdonable" is set for Oct. 4 on Canal de las Estrellas.
