Presidential hopeful Jeb Bush has decided to focus his campaign energy on exposing Donald Trump’s allegedly liberal past.

In a recent campaign ad, Jeb Bush has gone negative by simply posted a video of several clips that show the celebrity real estate magnate-turned-politician simply speaking about his left-leaning tendencies regarding issues such as partial-birth abortion, single payer health care and even Hillary Clinton -- whom he praises.

The pro-Bush ad, called “The Real Donald Trump,” does a pretty good job of showing that -- on camera at least; Trump has had the tendency to inform television personalities such as Wolf Blitzer that he identifies more as a Democrat than as a Republican.

The statements are dated, showing a younger Trump who at the time was busy just promoting himself and his products. As the conservative Brietbart points out, one statement wherein in Trump talks about being from New York and says that his "views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa” was made back in 1999.

Trump, who has been leading GOP polls, is the candidate to beat and attacking him as a liberal just might be Bush’s best shot at getting ahead.

Dick Cheney, who served as vice president under Jeb’s brother George Bush, voiced mild shock that Trump is still going strong. In an interview with CNN's Jamie Gangel, Cheney said, "I've been surprised that he's done as well as he has. I think most of us have on the Republican side."

"I don't want to be in the business of rating candidates at this point or grading them," added Cheney, who said that he would support whoever the nominee of his party ended being.
