Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will see action in the men's competition, while sisters Serena Williams and Venus Williams will also resume their respective campaigns in the 2015 US Open Tennis in New York.

Djokovic, who is eyeing just his second US Open title and 10th Grand Slam title overall, will go up against Andreas Haider-Maurer of Austria in Day 3 of men's singles competition on Wednesday at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Djokovic, the No. 1 seed in the men's draw this year and a strong favorite to win the title, opened his campaign with an impressive 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 win against unseeded Joao Souza of Brazil on Monday.

On the other hand, Haider-Maurer battled back from a 1-2 deficit to escape with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 6-0, 6-1 win against Vasek Pospisil of Canada in their first-round match on Monday.

Eighth seed Rafael Nadal of Spain will also take court on Day 3. The two-time US champion will go up against Diego Schwartzman of Argentina at Louis Armstrong Stadium.

Nadal overcame dehydration and stomach problem during his tournament debut, as he scored a 6-3, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 win against 18-year-old Borna Coric of Croatia.

Defending US Open champion Marin Cilic, the No. 9 seed this year, will also resume his title defense. He will try to dispatch unseeded Evgeny Donskoy in their match at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

In the women's side, Serena Williams will resume her bid to win all four Grand Slams this year. The top-seeded superstar will go up against Kiki Bertens of Netherlands at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Williams, who is looking to win her seventh US Open title, began her campaign with an easy 6-0, 2-0 win over Vitalia Diatchenko of Russia, who failed to continue in the second because of a foot injury.

Serena's older sister, Venus, will also play on Wednesday against compatriot Irina Falconi in the opening match of the second session at Arthur Ashe Stadium, which will be followed by the Djokovic vs. Haider-Maurer showdown.

Venus Williams, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, won against Monica Puig of Puerto Rico, while Falconi booked a spot in the second round with a 6-4, 6-2 win against Samantha Crawford.
