We are two weeks away from the start of the 2015 NFL season, and fans are excited for the new season to begin. Today, the AFC East is the sole focus of this article. With the Patriots dominating the division for the past decade, can teams such as the Jets, Dolphins and Bills dethrone the Patriots? Here are the projected teams records in the AFC East:

New England Patriots: 11-5, First Place -- The Patriots are without quarterback Tom Brady for the first four games of the season. It is up to second-string quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to lead this team. He has played well this preseason, but can he hold the fort until Brady comes back? With the first four games on the schedule against the Steelers, Bills, Jaguars and Cowboys, the Patriots could be 2-1 entering their bye week.

New York Jets: 10-6, Second Place -- The New York Jets improved greatly this offseason with the additions of cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie and the acquisition of star wide receiver Brandon Marshall. The defense will be fine, but there is one glaring hole on this team: the quarterback. Geno Smith got literally punched in the jaw by his own teammate and will be out for 4-6 weeks. Second-string quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the quarterback until Smith returns. The Jets have a pretty favorable schedule and could sneak into the playoffs with a 10-6 record.

Miami Dolphins: 9-7, Third Place -- The Dolphins have bolstered their defense with the addition of defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to one of the richest contract in NFL history. With the addition of Suh, the Dolphins defense could be a top five defense in the league. As for the offense, losing Mike Wallace hurts, but they replaced him with former Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings. The Dolphins are hoping that quarterback Ryan Tannehill will have a breakout year. Only time will tell if he does.

Buffalo Bills: 8-8, Fourth Place -- The Bills have a new head coach in Rex Ryan and a new running back in LeSean McCoy. The famous Rex Ryan defense will show up in every game, but will the offense? The Bills announced that quarterback Tyrod Taylor will start Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. It could either be a disaster or lighting in a bottle for the Bills.
