Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is one of the most wanted stars in Europe. Ever since he joined the Turin-based club in 2012, Pogba has developed into one of the best young midfielders in the world. He has been on the radar of big-name clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City, as reported by BBC News.

The four-straight Italian champions have reportedly rejected bids from several clubs because they lost a handful of players. Chilean forward Arturo Vidal went to Bayern Munich, striker Carlos Tevez went home to Argentina and Italian legend Andrea Pirlo joined New York City FC in the MLS.

Goal reports that Juventus rejected a £59-million (€80 million) bid from Barcelona while Chelsea's record-breaking £70-million offer was also rejected, according to The Mirror. A £58-million PSG bid was also rejected earlier in the transfer window, according to International Business Times.

In a report from The Mirror, Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta said that his midfielder is worth in excess of €100 million or £73 million.

"We decided to keep Pogba despite significant offers from foreign clubs. In future, he will be worth over €100 million. I've noticed how the Premier League has become richer, and we've seen clubs buying players for what would have been crazy prices until recently, but are very normal today. If Pogba continues his performance of last season, I think next year, €100 million will not suffice," he said.

Chelsea pursued Pogba up until the trade deadline as reported by Express. Boss José Mourinho was looking to change his squad after a very bad start to their title defense in the English top flight. Four bids on Everton's John Stones were rejected according to Express, and no negotiations happened for AS Roma's Radja Nainggolan in a report by Tancredi Palmeri on Twitter.

In a separate tweet by Palmeri, Chelsea are ready to bid up to £88 million or €120 million for Pogba. The English club have to battle a lot of big European powerhouses for the French international's signature.

The defending EPL champions started the first month of the season slow. They earned a 2-2 against Swansea City and then got embarrassed by Manchester with a 3-0 shutout. In week three, they barely defeated West Bromwich Albion 3-2, and lost to Crystal Palace 2-1 this week, according to the official Chelsea FC website.

The Express reports that Jose Mourinho brought in FC Nantes' Papy Djilobodji and Reading F.C.'s Michael Hector at the deadline as backups for the central defense. Chelsea would want to bring a big name like Paul Pogba by January or in the 2016 summer transfer window.
