The new Invisible Woman for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot has finally been confirmed and the actress to play the role is none other than Kate Mara.

The House of Cards star confirmed her part on the Fox reboot thru a tweet, saying, "Feeling invisible....in a wonderful way:) #FantasticFour."

Kate Mara will be playing the character of Susan "Sue" Storm which was previously played by Jessica Alba in past Fantastic Four movies. Aptly named, Sue, aka the Invisible Woman, has the ability to make herself invisible and is also able to project powerful force fields.

Sue Storm's sibling, Johnny Storm, has also been confirmed to be played by Michael B. Jordan. The soon-to-be Human Torch took to Instagram to make the informal announcement, posting a number four photo with the caption "Flame On!"

Johnny Storm was portrayed by Chris Evans, now Captain America, in the 2005 Fantastic Four and 2007 Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer installments of the franchise.

The rest of the Fantastic Four cast has not yet been confirmed though The Hollywood Reporter says that Jamie Bell and Miles Teller will most probably complete the cast as Ben Grimm aka The Thing and Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, respectively.

The Mr. Fantastic character was previously played by Ioan Gruffudd while Michael Chiklis played the clobberin' The Thing.

Even though the Storm siblings are the only primary characters confirmed out of the four, the casting has reportedly been met with outrage by comic fans and fans of the franchise, says NY Daily News.

"Complaints ranged from the good points (Teller's track record of one-liner spewing parts is a poor fit for the super-serious Reed Richards) to the bad (Mara isn't blonde) to the ugly (Jordan is not Caucasian like the character in the comics)," reads the NY Daily News report.

Even so, there is no stopping the Josh Trank-directed film which is slated for a June 19, 2015 release.
