The murder of Mr. O proves the ties that bind will transcend the efforts of the law on TNT's new '60s era police drama "Public Morals."

Episode 3 of the series is titled "O'Bannon's Wake" and will air next Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 11 p.m. EDT, according to TV Guide.

What is shockingly clear about the show is it was definitely intended for a mature audience. Given the situations that arise and the stereotypes that most would have considered for the show so far, it has not disappointed.

In the next episode, the wake for Mr. O will bring together several elements of the west side Irish Mob that have feuding interests in what should happen moving forward. It is also a good indicator that just like most Irish wakes of the era, there will be some fighting that will break out.

Muldoon also comes face-to-face with the elements when he attends the wake. But his character development will get a little more greasy as the episode moves forward. This far, he is seen as straight lace with a knack for knowing how to navigate the issues, even if his shady tactics might pull his character down.

Joe Patton and his relationship with his semi-sociopathic son will also take a new toll on the family. Rusty Patton has been portrayed thus far as impulsive and homicidal at best. But he soon becomes at odds with his own father when he asserts his opinions over how they should handle Mr. O's bookmaking operations.

Mr. O's enforcer will also consider waging war against the Patton's, which could lead them down a bloody path. The Patton's are very strong and the enforcer might not have the numbers to back up his endeavor.

Muldoon will receive a tip about an illegal card game and, as reported by TV Fanatic, there could be some fallout after his tumultuous relationship with his father heeds its influence.
