Although the season finale for the hugely successful "Scream" series on MTV finally revealed the killer, that does not mean that it is all over.

Fans of the show should remember the series was picked up for a second season and according to Entertainment Weekly, it is loaded with possibilities.

Questions have been answered and new questions have surfaced. So when the finale episode started, fans could clearly see that the episode was going to be riddled with tragedy and clichés.

The show picked up where the previous one left off, that being the school Halloween dance that had been interrupted by the broadcast of a bloodied Sheriff Hudson about to be ripped apart by the killer.

Maggie soon joins Emma and fills her in on Seth Branson's escape from jail. The plot thickens for the young heroine as now it's a race against time to find the Sheriff and they can only hope that he is still alive. But that pursuit quickly turned sour. Emma and Maggie found him tied to the tree where Brandon James used to leave Maggie gifts and once the rope was released, his guts spilled out, only held in by duct tape attached to the rope.

The tragic circumstances of his death means that Emma must now fill in Kieran, who is also a suspect. But she reasons that there is no way he would have killed the Sheriff.

The events of the episode thicken into modern clichés when Brooke decides to throw a party at her unoccupied mansion, which fans of the original movie already knew would turn into a blood bath. Although the body count didn't rise much there, it was when Emma took the phone call from the killer that the action came full circle.

Emma learns that Maggie has been taken and she is instructed by the killer to come to the dock where James was killed.

The killer finally reveals himself -- or better yet, herself. It turns out to be Piper, who is the sister Emma never knew she had. Of course, the action takes a stumble when Audrey shows up and shoots Piper in the head.

Can anyone say, "so what about Season 2?"

That's where it gets interesting. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Audrey received letters from Piper Shaw. Fans should also remember that Piper was with Will when they were attacked in the warehouse and saw the killer drag his body off. So now we know, to some degree, that Audrey was her accomplice.
