It has only been five years since the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation emerged from bankruptcy, as reported by Reuters. They shed about a billion dollars of debt by handing the company's ownership over to bondholders.

Now, with more than 20 amusement and water parks in North America, Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J. has unveiled their new ride, Total Mayhem. In a statement released by the amusement park company on their website, it says that their 14th and most unique roller coaster ever will be opened in 2016.

"After heading straight up a 12-story, 90-degree hill, this 4-D, free-fly coaster will wreak havoc as you flip head-over-heels at least six times along the weightless journey. You will experience exhilarating leaps and dives along a horizontal plane, along with unexpected drops as you tumble from one level to the next. The wing seats amp up the pandemonium since you will experience all of this chaos with no track above or below - just the sky, ground and adjacent Great Lake churning around you!"

You can check out the trailer of the Total Mayhem roller coaster below.

According to the company's website, the newest roller coaster boasts a 120-foot-tall, 90-degree hill that is ascended by an elevator-style, chain link lift with 4-D wing vehicles that can accommodate up to 40 people. There is a total of five 4-D wing vehicles with an eight person capacity each.

The ride uses a one-of-a-kind onboard magnetic technology that features smooth head-over-heels free-fly flips, providing the feeling of weightlessness to the riders as it allows people to soar outside the limitations of a traditional track. It also has face-off seats that allow the riders to face each other.

Its unique two-tone design highlights the imposing, floating, twisting and massive I-box track frame. Total Mayhem gives the sensation of free-falling via two beyond-90-degree "raven" drops.

In other Six Flags Entertainment Corp news, three new rides will be introduced during the redevelopment of the Fiesta Texas theme park in San Antonio in 2016. The three new rides will be called Fireball, Hurricane 5, and Spinsanity, as reported by San Antonio Business Journal.

Fireball will be a massive seven-story loop that includes unique seating patterns that suspend riders for more than 70 feet in the air while upside down. Hurricane Force 5, on the other hand, is a large, 24-passenger ride that moves 14 revolutions per minute both clockwise and counter-clockwise.

Spinsanity is a modern Tilt-A-Whirl that will give its riders a great overhead view of the theme park. Six Flags Fiesta Texas park president Neal Thurman said, via the news outlet, "This company is in a great place, with a fifth year in a row of record performance."
