Jimmy Kimmel loves to troll his audience as he fools the internet yet again with another fake video gone viral.

Jimmy Kimmel confessed this past Thursday that he was the one responsible for the viral clip that seemed to show a wolf casually roaming the halls of a hotel in Sochi, stage city for the 2014 Winter Olympics. The video in question made headlines and took the internet by storm after Olympic athlete Kate Hansen tweeted the video she had supposedly taken with her camera phone.

News channels and websites immediately grabbed hold of the story, with many anchors debating on whether or not the canine was actually a wolf or just a crossbreed. Some questioned the veracity of the video. What's certain is that few, if anybody, suspected Kimmel to be behind it... that is until Inside Edition leaked the truth before the talk show host got a chance to reveal it himself.

Jimmy Kimmel orchestrated the prank with Kate Hansen, with Hansen letting Kimmel's staff take control of her Twitter account, and helping them design the set to resemble the Olympian's dorm rooms in Sochi. Kimmel then sought the help of Rugby, the Timberwolf breed you see stalking the halls in the video.

Hansen herself has already emerged as a star of social media after a video of her "warming up" to music went viral just last week.

If you didn't know, this isn't the first time Kimmel has pranked his audience with a fake video. Just last year, he conned YouTubers with a video of a girl accidently setting her pants on fire while attempting to twerk. It was a viral sensation, sparking humorous and sometimes heat debates about the "dangerous" that the dance craze was having on young women, citing celebrities such as Miley Cyrus as enablers.

It looks like Jimmy Kimmel has a real skill at predicting what videos will catch fire on social media. It's likely only a matter of time before he tricks the internet again.
