Pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. is staging his farewell fight against former two-time boxing champion Andre Berto on Saturday.

Where to watch, live stream

The Mayweather vs. Berto fight will be held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas as announced by Mayweather, Boxing Scene noted. Viewers at home may watch the event on TV via a Showtime Pay-per-View arrangement.

Aside from watching it on TV, Variety reported that for $64.99, the fight will also be available through live streaming on mobile devices and computers via CBS. The blog noted that the live stream will also show the three undercard matches that will start at 5 p.m. Pacific Time (PT).

Fight preview

Mayweather, the undefeated champion, just came out of a victory against the Filipino boxing icon Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao at the MGM Grand Arena on May 2. Right after the match, he announced that he will be hanging his gloves in September, The Guardian noted. "The Money" revealed on FightHype that Andre Berto and Karim Mayfield were the two fighters on his shortlist for his last battle. Although TMZ Sports claimed that Berto was indeed the chosen one, Mayweather only confirmed it a few weeks before the fight.

Berto, who came out of a victory against Josesito Lopez via a sixth-round TKO in March, which earned him the interim World Boxing Association welterweight title, per BoxRec, seized the huge opportunity. He trained regularly for the big event as seen on his Twitter posts, that could give him two welterweight titles from the World Boxing Council and WBA, if he beats Mayweather.

Predictions

Former light middleweight champion Austin Trout told OnTheRopesBoxing that "Berto might give him a better fight than Pacquiao because Pacquiao looked gun shy."

Former International Boxing Federation junior middleweight king Ishe Smith also believed Berto is "going to fight hard" but he did not think "it's going to be enough," FightHype reported.

Returning boxer "Sugar" Shane Mosley told FightHype that Mayweather is looking for a knockout win against Berto, who does not have a good chin.

Yet, Amir Khan, who was not picked by Mayweather as his foe, commented that the 38-year-old boxer should not underestimate Berto.

"If Floyd does overlook Berto then he's in for a big surprise because Berto has the power to hurt him," the British warrior said, as quoted by Boxing Scene.

Berto was also said that he would not go down on Saturday, BoxingJunkie noted. "Somebody is getting knocked out and it won't be me," he said.
