The decision of whether to buy a Macbook Air and MacBook Pro is not as simple as deeming one better than the other. Rather, the question of which one to buy seems to be much more about how one fits your needs over the other.

Case in point, the MacBook Air is slim and light -- just like the title of the product seems to suggest -- and this would be perfect for someone who is always on the go. One can slip it right into his or her bag without having to deal with the bulkiness of most other computers.

What makes the computer even more fitting for someone who is always on the go is the fact that it doesn't take forever to start up. When you're in a hurry, you can just flip it open -- and your wait time will be noticeably shorter in other ways too.

"Flash storage in MacBook Air is now up to 45 percent faster than the previous generation," according to the Apple website. "So everything you do is snappier and more responsive. MacBook Air even wakes up faster than ever, thanks to flash storage and the latest Intel Core processors."

The computer is also a bit more affordable than the MacBook pro and Apple fans can buy the MacBook Air for as low as $1,000.

On the other hand, maybe you want a MacBook Pro. Perhaps the most enticing aspect of the MacBook Pro is the recent introduction of retina screens, which were seen as long overdue for Apple products.

"The 15-inch model has over 5 million pixels, and the 13-inch model has over 4 million. So you can retouch your photos or edit a home movie in HD and experience an astounding level of clarity," Apple says on the company's website.

Apple fans can get a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display for $1,299.
