Nintendo is not holding back when it comes to content for the top-performing game "Super Smash Bros." After releasing a great selection of downloadable content, the team tops themselves by unleashing a new Super Mario Maker DLC Stage for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

The announcement of the new stage came as a surprise to many gamers. A trailer was posted on the company's official YouTube page with plenty of details on the upcoming release. This latest stage is based on Nintendo's recently launched game "Super Mario Maker" and the features reflect the inspiration.

Notable details include a virtual hand, creating the stage and fixing the blocks, plus cool changeable layout with each game. According to Game Rant, the stage is "randomized" so players can enjoy an exciting ever-changing landscape as different layouts pop up with each — and even during — battles.

The stage for Wii U or 3DS will be available for $2.49 while those who want to play the stage on both platforms can splurge on the bundle for $3.49.

The Super Mario Maker DLC Stage for "Super Smash Bros." is coming on Sept. 30.

While exciting, this stage is only the latest in Nintendo's slew of downloadable content, which includes new characters and cool costumes according to the line-up in the official website. There are even some bonuses such as a special figurine for each of the "Super Smash Bros." characters, a report from IGN said.

Even with the number of new features, fans are anticipating more from the best-selling Nintendo game. Players are eager to see the next characters included in the franchise. Only characters previously involved in a Nintendo game are eligible, and the company recently held a poll on the website to see which characters fans are most eager to see in the game.

Surprisingly, one of the characters gaining traction in the community is none other than Britney Spears, who was featured in 2002 Gameboy Advanced game "Britney's Dance Beat." While highly unlikely to make an appearance in Super Smash Bros., fans of the pop diva are making some noise to get her under consideration, according to a report from Game Zone.

"Super Smash Bros." is among Nintendo's best-selling games. Its success is across both platforms as reports from the company's official website revealed that "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U has sold 3.83 million units and the 3DS version topped it with over seven million units sold.
