Steve Borden, better known as Sting, is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He spent most of his career with World Championship Wrestling until its last days in 2001 and did not join World Wrestling Entertainment until 2014 at Survivor Series.

Sting spent most of the 2000s with Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling, being one of its stars at that time. He had talks with the WWE in 2003 and 2011 to join the company, but no deal was made until February 2014. The 56-year-old grappler was really happy he finally made it to WWE.

He made his debut against Triple H at last year's Wrestlemania. "It was now or never, that was really it. With hindsight, after rubbing shoulders with the WWE and all the different departments, it's like, 'Wow, man, I should have done this a long time ago,'" Sting said via the Associated Press.

"The Vigilante" was interviewed by Rolling Stone, and he talked about his upcoming match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions this Sunday. "Seth is the man right now in the WWE. He has a lot of respect from wrestling fans because of his ability to carry a storyline. I will plug myself in and try to enhance it and make things as unbelievable as I possibly can. Tthe bottom line is, my focus is Seth Rollins," Sting said on selling his match with the WWE Champion.

He was also asked if he was brought by the WWE to put over guys should he lose to Rollins this Sunday. The six-time WCW Champion responded, "I had my time. There's no question about that. For a guy my age to be where I am right now is, to me, next to impossible. And yet, I'm here. It's not about Sting, not anymore. You're asking a straight-up question, I'll give you a straight-up answer. That's it, and I am just fine with that."

Lastly, Sting was asked if he has any regrets signing with the WWE as it demands so much for a 56-year-old. "It has been gratifying. After 30 years, I've learned to really appreciate the fans and the wrestlers and everybody in the whole industry a lot more," Sting answered.

"I held off on doing [public appearances] until WWE, and now I'm picking and choosing some things that I'm doing here and there, Comic-Cons and whatever. And the fans are so respectful, so there's a much higher level of appreciation now than there ever was," he added.

Sting will challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE Title at Night of Champions on Sept. 20, 2015, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
