"Space Jam" was highly popular when Michael Jordan took center stage and accepted the main cast offer on the movie's first installment. Now, rumors have emerged online that "Space Jam 2" is being negotiated, and with various NBA star emerging, who could appear in the much-anticipated sequel?

According to FanSided, Blake Griffin openly expressed his interest in the movie after he was asked about it. He said, "Oh absolutely; absolutely. I'd love to be involved in any capacity, really. Space Jam was a huge part of my childhood. I actually had a Space Jam themed birthday party as a teen."

Griffin's NBA stats have been nothing but excellent on the game board, and he's commercials have been some sort of basis on his acting capacity.

LeBron James, who's fielded to also fit the character, has been the kind of player who showed less display of acting talents that may perhaps take him on the lower list of prospects.

Griffin, on the other hand, elaborated more on his acting prowess during his interview Basketball Insiders. When asked about his intentions to add acting on his career, he said, "I've been on acting and improve for as long as I can remember, Now, I've gotten the opportunity to kind of do some of cool things and meet some awesome people, but I'm not an actor. I don't think acting is the route I'm going to go."

Griffin is currently signed to the LA Clippers with an average of 7.6 rebounds, 21.9 points and 5.3 assists last NBA season. To sum it up, his average has surpassed that of Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard and Klay Thompson.

Griffin has been hailed as one of the best NBA players in the league not only because of his stats, but also his projects and undertakings during the offseason. According to CBS Sports, "Space Jam 2" has no official script yet, but Griffin and Zack LaVine are great candidates for the role.

Griffin is well-known for his high-flying dunks and stylish basketball talent. When asked whether he sees himself retiring in the LA Clippers, he said, "Yeah, I mean LA is my home now. This is where I get drafted and I've been here since the beginning. I've been with this franchise during some bad times, I'm not looking to go anywhere."

"Space Jam 2" has no release date yet, so keep an eye on it after the players selection is finalized.
