Lena Dunham gave her fans a scare on Instagram after sending out a cryptic post on Thursday, Sept. 17, which led some to believe her and boyfriend Jack Antonoff had parted ways.

The 29-year-old "Girls" actress shared a photo of herself looking a bit frazzled in her Calvin Klein undies and sports bra, writing she was having a "rough week," according to Us Magazine.

"It felt like my body, my hormones, my general sense of well-being were betraying me. I wanted to crumple into a pile or hide like a sweatshirt in the lost and found. And I felt as though there wasn't a way to ask for the space and time I needed without hurting someone else. I am certainly no self-help guru but here is what I know tonight: when you take the time and space you need, kindly and responsibly, you're suddenly available to the people you love in a whole new way," Dunham wrote.

After Dunham shared this mysterious post, it was shared and liked several thousand times by her fans.

Later that day she reassured all her worried followers, who were speculating whether the couple had split, the pair is happy as can be, and she posted a photo of the two kissing. She also made a point to emphasize a girl can have a bad day without it having to involve a guy.

"No, no. Believe it or not, ladies can have anxiety and troubles that aren't about getting dumped," Dunham captioned the photo.

"I'm certainly no self-help guru but here is what I know tonight: when you take the time and space you need, kindly and responsibly, you're suddenly available to the people you love in a whole new way. There is no other answer (except Calvins... Nothing gets between us.)."

HBO's "Girls" has been running for four seasons, and this past January was renewed for a fifth. Dunham, who plays aspiring, slightly self-absorbed writer Hannah Horvath, is the creator of the show, which is a comedy-drama about a group of 20-year-olds attempting to survive the struggle that is living in New York City. The show stars several young actors, such as Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver and Alex Karpovsky, who have now gained fame from their well-known characters.
