"Finding Carter" returns for the second half of Season 2 on Oct. 6, when fans will get to know newcomer Ben Wallace. But according to the actor who plays the character, Ben is not to be trusted.

In a video interview with MTV, 21-year-old actor Ben Winchell revealed more about his character Ben Wallace, the shocking secret brother of Carter Stevens (Kathryn Prescott) who rocked the court room when he revealed himself to be the son of Lori (Milena Govich) and David (Alexis Denisof) during the mid-season finale.

Like Carter, Ben has had a very complicated life. According to Winchell, that will definitely play a huge factor in the way the new character behaves and what happens this season.

"Ben has had a little bit of a troubled past," Winchell told MTV. "He's been in and out of foster homes his whole life and we start to see maybe some people from his past coming back into his life which gets a little tricky."

Between Carter finding out that her mother kidnapped her from her real family, handling the pressures of high school and adjusting to her new family, the series has already seen plenty of drama.

According to TVLine, the recently released Season 2 trailer proves that Ben will be adding a lot more problems for Carter and her family, and that his intentions are not always what they seem.

"Ben makes money very creatively and his shady deals may or may not backfire on him this season," Winchell said. "You never really know what his true intentions are, so he's always going to keep you guessing."

Besides Ben-related drama, Season 2 will feature Carter getting a job, possibly leaving school, and meeting a new love interest named Jared (Jackson Rathbone). The season will also reveal how the Wilson family handles David's secret and Lori's move to town.

"Finding Carter" returns to MTV for the second half of Season 2 on Oct. 6.
