Christina Ricci Photo Shows Actress Dressed as Morticia Addams: But Is It Real?
An image of Christina Ricci dressed as "The Addams Family" character Morticia Addams hit the Internet on Monday, and social media went wild.
While the 35-year-old actress played a young Wednesday Addams in the '90s films, she is now sparking attention after this photo was released showing her posing as Wednesday's mother in a revealing low-cut black dress, according to People.
But is it real? In short . . .
No.
After Yahoo! Movies investigated, the image was found to have been photoshopped using a promotional image of Anjelica Huston from either 1991's "The Addams Family" or the 1993 sequel "Addams Family Values."

The doctored photo first appeared on the Tumblr blog The Creature's Enchantment.
"Mysteries of the unknown, An Enchantment of all creatures that are mystical, magical, and eery. A Horror blog for those Ghoulies that can't get enough of the spooky and all creatures creepy," the blog's description reads.
Fans who saw the image of Ricci dressed as Morticia, which quickly went viral, gave her flattering compliments, reassuring the actress would be perfect for the role.

Several people also began speculating whether or not this meant there was a reboot in the works. However, no details of a revival have been confirmed.
Ricci will be appearing in the upcoming TV movie "Zelda," now in pre-production and was directed by Tim Blake Nelson. The film also stars Jamie Anne Allman and Gavin Stenhouse. She is currently filming "Mothers Day," directed by Paul Duddridge and Nigel Levy and also stars Courteney Cox and Sharon Stone.
"The Addams Family," along with Ricci and Huston, starred the late Raul Julia as Gomez Addams, Jimmy Workman as Pugsley Addams, and Christopher Lloyd as Uncle Fester and was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.
