International Boxing Federation middleweight champion David Lemieux may not just capture two titles from the undefeated Gennady Golovkin, but he might even do it with his usual style, which is via a knockout.

Golden Promotions head Oscar De La Hoya, who promotes the IBF champ, boldly claimed that the Canadian boxer will crush "Triple G" and win via a stoppage in their middleweight unification bout on Oct.17 at the Madison Square Garden in New York, Boxing Scene reported. De La Hoya even stated that people will see a different Golovkin when he fights Lemieux in October. Instead of the old "forward and aggressive" warrior "GGG" his fans knew, he will be pressured by the Montreal native.

"This time Golovkin will be in front of David for David to land his big punches. I believe it is going to be easier than N'Dam because of his style. N'Dam was a long range fighter and was using his distance and I believe David will knock out Golovkin...'GGG' has not faced a strong fighter and a smart fighter like David Lemieux in his career," the boxer-turned-promoter said.

Yet, the Hall of Fame boxer also admitted that it will not be an easy feat even for his fighter, who posts an 81 percent knockout rating, per BoxRec, to demolish the formidable Kazakh warrior, who landed 30 of 33 via knockouts or 91 percent KO rating, per the same site. Yet, De La Hoya still thinks Lemieux can walk away with three championship titles that night.

However, the World Boxing Association and International Boxing Organization king's camp does not feel it will be their man who will be left empty-handed that night. Abel Sanchez, Golovkin's trainer, told On The Ropes Boxing that his fighter can put down Lemieux within four rounds. The veteran boxing coach and world-class trainer even gave a detailed forecast per round.

"I think that both guys at the beginning will be aware of each other. I think by the time the second round comes around, I think Golovkin will have established his jab and will be pot shotting Lemieux. In the third round, I think they have a good round between the both of them and in the fourth round Golovkin knocks him out," Sanchez said.

Yet, with two knockout masters clashing on the ring, every boxing fan will ultimately be the winner in witnessing an explosive showdown between these champions. The last man standing will also proceed into facing the victor of the Nov.21 World Boxing Council title fight between current champ Miguel Cotto and Mexican challenger Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
