Sept. 9 marked the unveiling of Apple's new installment in its iPhone series. With promises of their next product outdoing their last, but the previous generation becoming less expensive, consumers must ask themselves one simple question. Which one should I get?

Just like last year, Apple released a Plus phone alongside their regular model, which begs the question if it holds up just as well as the previous iteration. In terms of design and overall size, the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 6s Plus are nearly identical, although the newest model has now come coated with an alloy of 7000 Series aluminum, which suggest it will be much more durable.

It also goes to mention that the iPhone 6s Plus is now powered by a better processor via their new A9 chip. During its presentation, Phil Schiller stated that it ran 70 percent faster than last year's A8 chip. The iPhone 6s Plus also comes with 2GB of RAM, beating out the iPhone 6 Plus by double. The new iPhone will also sport the new iOS 9, but the other iPhone's operating system can also be upgraded, of course.

The largest difference between the two phones would have to be the camera, as the iPhone 6 Plus only came with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, while the iPhone 6s Plus has been updated to have an impressive 12-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The difference between both phone's qualities are highly evident when put side to side.

The decision to upgrade to the iPhone 6s Plus will largely depend on a consumer's budget and if they believe the difference is worth $100, as the iPhone 6s Plus is now available as low as $749 for 16GB versus the iPhone 6 Plus is now at $649.

These users didn't seem to think so from Digital Trend's comment section:

Ronald Sondergaard said, "Only 16gb of memory in entry phone, only 1920 x 1080 resolution.....not thanks apple..old technology and you will not rip me off for another $100 for an already expensive phone for sufficient memory"

Jeffrey Van Camp responded to Sondergaard's comment: "I definitely agree with you on the lack of memory. This should have at least 32GB of memory. As for resolution, it's not a big deal to me. I think the iPhones have competitive displays. Some of the higher res screens are big battery drainers."
