The new career mode in "NBA 2K16" is written and directed by popular filmmaker and avid NBA fan Spike Lee. The game also has a total of 50 songs spanning six in-game playlists, which 2K Sports, via Game Spot, dubbed as the "most expansive musical collection in NBA 2K franchise history."

Launching on the same day is "NBA Live 16." EA Sports' newest basketball simulator tows 22 songs, a mobile face scanning app called "GameFace HD" and an all-new "Live Pro-Am" mode.

In "Live Pro-Am," "Rising Stars" creations are pitted against each other through online multiplayer in order for them to gain individual skills and signature moves, Bleacher Report explained.

Activision's newest offering has online multiplayer wherein gamers can lose themselves in online skate sessions with friends and challengers around the globe. The game has new sets of unlockables that a skater must acquire in order to dominate in offline or online matches. The game also has a feature that lets players build their own skate parks and share it with the online community.
