Bobby Brown released a statement through his attorney on Monday making clear he believes Nick Gordon harmed Bobbi Kristina Brown, his only daughter with Whitney Houston.

"We believe we know who harmed Bobbi Kristina Brown and his name is Nick Gordon," attorney Christopher Brown said in the statement. "Mr. Gordon made headlines when he filed his Motion to Dismiss the lawsuit pending in Superior Court that seeks to hold him responsible for 40 Million Dollars in damages. However, the Motion was frivolous and instead of having it heard by the Court, he has chosen to withdraw the Motion, ending that matter so that he could avoid having to give his deposition."

According to Yahoo, the attorney's assertions come just days after a Fulton County Superior Court ordered that final autopsy findings for 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina remain sealed.

Bobbi Kristina died under hospice care in late July, almost six months after she was found unresponsive in her bathtub and rushed to a North Fulton Hospital emergency room. She never regained consciousness and has since been buried alongside her mother at a New Jersey cemetery.

The suit also alleges that, on the night Bobbi Kristina had to be hospitalized, Gordon gave her a "toxic cocktail" that essentially rendered her defenseless. Filed by the conservator of Bobbi Kristina's estate Bedelia Hargrove, the suit also charges that Gordon physically abused and stole from his girlfriend.

Gordon has since hired his own legal team led by Jose Baez, the Florida-based attorney who once successfully defended Casey Anthony on murder charges. Earlier this month, his attorneys moved to dismiss the lawsuit.

Gordon's lawyers also previously released a statement in which they labeled the suit "slanderous and meritless." They added their client is crushed and saddened by the sudden loss of his love. According to the team, Gordon also feels indignant at now having to defend himself against allegations that he harmed Bobbi Kristina in any way, which only made the ordeal more difficult for him.

No criminal charges have been filed against Gordon.

"I look forward to having the Court hear the evidence in the civil lawsuit and hopefully the criminal action very soon," Bobby Brown added in the statement released by his attorney.
