The film stills to the upcoming "Avatar 2" film have been revealed.

On Twitter film producer Jon Landau has revealed a new piece of Avatar 2 concept art. The art work provides glimpse of the Na'vi in James Cameron's long-awaited sequel. The image shows a blue figure that is reminiscent to Zoe Saldana's character from the first film. Saldana is returning to the sequel, so it is no surprise if this image is indeed her character.

Fox is in the works for four more "Avatar" movies, and Cameron already has a script for "Avatar 5." However, the second film isn't slated to hit theaters until sometime in 2017. Very little is known about the movie, but Cameron is using new technology to create underwater environments and will continue to explore the world with the technology he used for the first film.

"Avatar" opened in 2009 to rave reviews and became a huge box office success breaking every record and making over $2 billion. It is currently the highest grossing film of all time.

The film also went on to win the Golden Globe for Best Picture and also went on to get nominated for nine Academy Awards including Best Picture. In the end it took home three Oscars in technical categories including Best Visual Effects, Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography.

Cameron is currently designing a Pandora theme park entitled "The World of Avatar," which is coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park in Orlando.

"Avatar 2" is expected to hit theaters on Dec. 25, 2017, and the third film will hit theaters in 2018. It will be followed by the fourth installment in 2019 and the fifth installment in 2020. With so many sequels slated, it will be interesting to see if any of the films ends up beating his current records.
