New teaser videos reveal Damon and Alaric will have a tough time coping with the loss of their loved ones in Season 7 of "The Vampire Diaries." However, when they aren't drinking away their sorrows, fans can look forward to seeing the fun side of their growing bromance.

Fans said goodbye to "TVD" leading lady Nina Dobrev in the Season 6 finale after her character, Elena, was put under a spell that will keep her in a coma for as long as Bonnie is alive. Hence, Elena will likely remain in a deep slumber for up to 70 years. Meanwhile, Alaric witnessed the tragic murder of his new bride and unborn child on his wedding day.

In the upcoming season, both Damon and Alaric will turn to alcohol to help numb their pain. A sneak peek also reveals that the two will do a lot of drinking together, especially during their stay in Europe.

Bonnie also appears in the clip, suggesting that the two take it easy with their day drinking in order to prevent her from having to write Elena a letter about Alaric dying from alcohol poisoning.

Damon quips that he could tell Elena himself if Bonnie chokes on the cocktail peanuts.

Bonnie then decides to go on a bike, "like a normal tourist." That's when Damon "helpfully" tells her they don't wear helmets there. "Keeps getting funnier," she retorts.

On Wednesday, Ian Somerhalder shared a clip from a new Season 7 trailer on his Instagram page, featuring a shot of Damon in the nude. In the clip, Damon and Alaric seem to be bro-ing it up when Damon throws his wet towel at Alaric and exposes himself.

In addition to their bromance chemistry, the clip also gives fans a glimpse at Bonnie and Caroline bonding and Stefan and Caroline making out.

During a recent interview with TVLine, Somerhalder opened about how Damon will cope with living his life without Elena, revealing that he will take her final words to heart.

"Elena said, 'Go have fun and live your life,'" Somerhalder said. "He waited for Katherine for 150 years and he sure as hell wasn't a saint in that time. Damon's a pretty sadistic guy, but he's also very logical -- even if his logic is a little skewed sometimes. He's thinking that he's got 60 years to chill ... so if he makes enemies and gets into fights and s--t's going down with these heretics, he's like, 'Yeah, let's get in there. Let's f--k it up!'"

However, it won't be long before the heretics' threaten to destroy Mystic Falls, forcing Damon to become a responsible hero.

"He comes near death a couple of times and has to start protecting people," Somerhalder teases. "So it really becomes about him protecting this box and fighting with his mom; he's really not happy with his madre at all."

Somerhalder went on to share that now that Dobrev is gone, the show will focus on the relationship that Damon and Stefan share as brothers.

"If you look at the way the story's been told, it always comes back to the love of these two brothers," he explains. "The women that they love got in the way, but now they're just brothers, and they're forced to deal with a lot of stuff. One of their new problems is that they lost their home, and Damon's pretty pissed at Stefan for letting that happen."

Meanwhile, Kat Graham teased that fans can look forward to seeing a new feistier Bonnie in the new season.

"I don't know if Bonnie's really taking anyone's s-t too much in the new season," Graham told MTV News. "There's no survivor's guilt. Obviously, we all didn't want what happened in the season finale, as characters, to happen. We all wish that it could have been avoided. But it's a matter of, how do we move on? How do we face the challenges of what's happening now in Mystic Falls?"

Graham continued describing Lily's Heretics "super bad--s, sexy women -- seriously, these women are kicking so much a-- and they're going to shake things up."

The actress added that the vampire drama is will get back to its sexy and surprising roots.

"It's an edgy, sexy season. And there's a lot of stunts and action," she said. "I've been filming some of this stuff, and I don't remember us having this much action in the previous seasons. There's a lot happening! There's sword fights and stuff being blown up and things catching on fire -- it's a lot."

The Vampire Diaries Season 7 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
