The BBC plans for its long-awaited, original series "Peaky Blinders" to make its return for a third season with a host of new additions.

English actor Paddy Considine has been announced by the network to arrive as an antagonistic character, and actresses Dina Korzun and Jan Bijvoet have been enlisted on the show as refugees from a foreign conflict.

Season 3 will still center around the main character Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy, and his internal struggle as a gangster in 1920s Britain. Showrunner Steven Knight also told Deadline that he's come to a conclusion for the May and Grace love triangle that's dragged on since the last season. He plans to make the reveal in the Season 3 opener.

"I am genuinely thrilled at the prospect of Season Three," Knight said. "I think it will be the best yet. Lots of things familiar, but lots of things are new. It's still a Birmingham story and it always will be. Now, it has international consequences. I can't wait to see it myself."

Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, and Joe and Finn Cole have all also been confirmed to return for the new season, as well as actor Tom Hardy for at least a short duration.

"It's the sign of a great show when by the second or third season it's richer than ever," Murphy commented. "The writing this year is the strongest it's ever been. It's off the charts."

"Peaky Blinders" airs on BBC Two in the U.K. and on Netflix in the U.S. There has been no specified date for the show's return, however it is suspected fans can expect it in early 2016. The BBC plans to start shooting Season 3 tomorrow.
