A grand jury has been convened in Georgia to consider formally bringing criminal charges against Nick Gordon in the death of Bobby Kristina Brown.

Radar Online reports Gordon, the self-described "husband" of the only child born to Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, and his high-profile Florida attorney Jose Baez are closely monitoring the developments to prepare themselves for what seems like the inevitable.

The 25-year-old Gordon already faces a multimillion civil suit filed by the conservator of Bobbi Kristina's estate Bedelia C. Hargrove charging him in connection with her summer death.

Bobbi Kristina died under hospice care in late July, nearly six months after being found immersed in a bathtub of water at the Georgia home she shared with Gordon. The civil suit alleges that, in the hours before she needed to be rushed to a hospital emergency room, Gordon gave her a "toxic cocktail" that essentially rendered her defenseless.

The website adds it's not known what criminal charges the DA's office is now considering filing against Gordon.

"It's likely the other people in the house the morning she was found unresponsive will be called to testify," a source said. "But it doesn't appear that Nick will be called because the D.A. doesn't want to give away their hand in preparation of a possible trial."

Among those previously reported to be in the home that morning are Max Lomas, described as Gordon's drug-dealing friend, and his girlfriend Danyela Bradley. Radar reports it was Lomas who called 911 on the morning in question.

Bobbi Kristina, 22, never regained consciousness and has since been buried alongside her mom in New Jersey. Late last month, the Fulton County medical examiner announced a formal cause of death had been determined, but the results were ordered sealed by the courts.

That hasn't stopped Bobby Brown from publicly pointing a finger at Gordon for his daughter's demise.

"We believe we know who harmed her and his name is Nick Gordon," Bobby Brown's attorney Christopher Brown recently said in a statement.

Gordon's attorney Baez previously worked on the Casey Anthony case in Florida, securing an acquittal for her on murder charges in the death of her young daughter.
