Episode 3 of “Scandal” is all about the fury of a first lady scorned, as Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) appears ready to get her revenge.

A teaser for Episode 3 of Season 5, titled "Paris is Burning," reveals that, after finally giving in to their passion, Olivia (Kerry Washington) and President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) are now suffering the consequences of their affair.

The clip shows Mellie greeting Olivia by saying, “Oh look. It’s the girl who can’t shut her legs.”

Having suffered much heartache and humiliation over the years, Mellie now seems hell bent on going beyond payback.

“I want to destroy Olivia Pope,” she says in the teaser.

Show creator Shonda Rhimes is well-lauded for creating powerful new roles for women in “Scandal,” as well as “Private Practice” and “How to Get Away with Murder.” But she might also be making a name for herself for the amount of skin she requires her male actors to show.

As People reports, Tony Goldwyn recently revealed how he and co-star Scott Foley, the 43-year-old actor who plays Jake Ballard on the series, are often called upon to go shirtless for scenes.

"Shonda's rule is, 'Women can wear whatever they want. The guys have to take their clothes off whenever I tell them to,'" Goldwyn said.

Though the actor seems up to the challenge, he does feel that Foley is better suited for being filmed bare-chested.

"Scott is a far better athlete than I am actually,” he said. “Scott starves himself, and I am just not that disciplined, so you know, I do go to the gym, but I’ll have the donut when I want it."

Rhimes has been called out for her unapologetic focus on the male form by none other than longtime Hollywood pretty boy Rob Lowe.

The star of “St Elmo’s Fire” and more recently the parody movie “Sex Tape” recently said, “People go on and on about the objectification of women, and rightly so. But what about the objectification of men? When was the last time you saw 'Grey’s Anatomy'?"

The next episode of “Scandal” airs Oct. 8.
