"The Flash" film has found its director on the eve of the shows second season premiere.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Seth Grahame-Smith is in negotiations to direct and write the upcoming film, which will be released by Warner Bros. It will be the next comic book-based movie and Warner Bros. hopes to get the same reception the TV series has gotten. The company is continuing to create its DC world in the same way that Marvel and Disney have done since 2008 with their franchises.

The movie has already obtained a treatment from Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the duo that was in charge of "The Lego Movie."

Charles Roven, who produced "Man of Steel," is producing the movie with Deborah and Zack Snyder, who are serving as executive producers.

"The Flash" movie will be Grahame-Smith's feature directorial debut. However, he has directed episodes of "The Hard Times of RJ Berger," an MTV comedy he co-created with his producing partner David Katzenberg and is also the author of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" and "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies." Grahame-Smith has also written "Dark Shadows" for Tim Burton and the Oscars telecast in 2015.

"The Flash" movie is slated for release on March 3, 2018 and is expected to star award winning actor Ezra Miller, who is best known for his work on "We Need to Talk About Kevin" and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." Miller is expected to be introduced as the Flash, aka Barry Allen, in the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and is also expected to be featured in "Justice League Part 1." That movie will be be released in summer of 2017.

Warner Bros. also has plans of making another "Green Lantern" film and is also developing a "Wonder Woman" film as well as a standalone Batman film. There will also be a second part to the Justice League.

CW's "The Flash" premieres tonight and stars Grant Gustin.
