After working at a Michigan fiberglass factory for the last 23 years, Powerball jackpot winner Julie Leach announced that she has quit her "nasty, dirty job."

Leach, who worked as a supervisor at the factory, said she immediately quit her job after she released that she won the $310.5 million Powerball jackpot. Now she plans to use the winnings to build houses for her family, reports ABC News.

While speaking at a news conference Tuesday morning, the 50-year-old winner said that she was still in "disbelief" about winning the jackpot, which is the second-largest lottery win in the history of Michigan.

Leach also described the day she discovered she was the winner, saying, "I was having a really bad night at work and I thought I better check my numbers." She added that she was "shaking" when she finally realized she won during her lunch break. She then went back to work and asked one of her co-workers to verify the numbers.

"I didn't go to sleep for over 30 hours when I found out," she said.

Leach said she has accepted the lump sum cash option of $197.4 million, which, after taxes, equates to $140 million.

When asked if she will continue working, Leach said, "I quit automatically. I was done."

She said she plans to take care of her children and 11 grandchildren and buy property in Michigan for her whole family.

"I'm going to take care of my kids," she said. "I don't want them to work the way I had to work and deal with the things I had to deal with in life. I want to make it a good life for them and take care of them."

Leach said she purchased the lucky ticket at a Shell gas station in Three Rivers, Michigan. The winning numbers were 21, 39, 40, 55, 59 and Powerball 17.
