An Indiana University fraternity has been suspended following the release of a graphic hazing video on social media Wednesday night.

The IndyStarr reports that the school's Alpha Tau Omega chapter is under investigation due to evidence of serious sexual misconduct. A Reddit post identified the fraternity in a 29-second clip showing a student being forced to perform a sexual act on a stripper.

The clip can be viewed here. Warning: The content and commentary is both graphic and offensive.

In the disturbing video, the pledge is held down between a woman's legs as another woman kicks him and prevents him from rising. Several shirtless men watch the event, laughing and cheering.

Indiana University posted a tweet Wednesday, announcing the chapter's suspension and subsequent investigation.

Alpha Tau Omega national CEO Wynn Smiley said the organization is also launching an investigation and has suspended the chapter from all ATO-related activities.

"The video is highly offensive and is antithetical to the values of Alpha Tau Omega," Smiley said to IndyStar. "If confirmed, the men who were a part of such an outlandish incident do not represent the fraternity and damage the fraternity's name for thousands of other ATO undergraduates and alumni across the country."

This is not the first time the organization has found itself the focus of a hazing controversy. Bloomberg reported on separate hazing incident from ATO in 2013.

According to Bloomberg, "At 18,000-student University of Nevada at Reno, at least 10 pledges were treated for food poisoning in 2007 after being forced to eat raw chicken -- an incident cited in a 2010 report. Initiates also had the Greek letter Omega etched on their buttocks with dry ice. The university identified the fraternity as Alpha Tau Omega."

Several other such incidents have made national news in recent years at institutions such as Baruch College and Penn State.
