'Empire' is all new next week after Wednesday night's episode left fans waiting for more. What else will Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) do to get back at his ex-wife Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) for trying to take the Empire from him?

Lucious finally came home on bail after he was accused of killing his ex-wife's cousin Bunkie (Antoine McKay) and is ready to get back to business.

Yet, upon his release, the entertainment mogul learned that he is no longer allowed inside of the Empire building.

"That's just a building, I am the Empire," Lucious told reporters as he walked out of the court room.

He wasn't lying. As soon as he came home he went to war with Cookie and their son Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) to keep his name on top of the music industry. As of now he is on top!

Cookie crashed Lucious' homecoming party after getting a tip from his ex-fiance Anika (Grace Gealey) but he was not fazed. In return, he stole Cookie's newest artist and bought out all of the urban radio stations to prevent The Lyon Dynasty's music from being heard. Ouch!

Badly enough, their newest artist was the lead singer for a new Latina group. They were supposed to make Cookie and Hakeem's new company, The Lyon Dynasty, blow up.

Meanwhile, Lucious is working on signing a new female rapper who is "musically everything" to him. Yet, he put a hit out on the new artist's father Frankie Gathers (Chris Rock). How will that play out in the future?

Expect to see a more vicious Lucious and an even more vicious Cookie this season. What is she planning to do next?

In the scenes for next week's episode, Cookie gets arrested, Andre (Trai Byers) and his wife Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) dig up Vernon's (Malik Yoba) body and the feds raid the Empire. Are these events all in connection?

"If I die while in custody I did not commit suicide," Cookie said while sitting handcuffed in the back of the cop car. The scene shed light on Sandra Bland and the Black Lives Matter movement.
