In the next episode of “Quantico,” Alex (Priyanka Chopra), who is suspected of committing a terrorist attack, receives information about her father and his ties to the FBI.

A teaser for Episode 3 of Season 1, called “Cover,” shows Alex coming to the dark revelation the people behind her set-up have been planning to frame her for a long time, saying, "Whoever’s framing me, they didn’t start last week or last month.”

In the episode, Liam (Josh Hopkins) convinces Alex to participate in a press conference on national television and begs her to turn herself in.

Chopra, a former Miss World and a bona-fide Bollywood sensation, feels strongly about the subject matter she is tacking on her new ABC series. Speaking to The New York Times about her show, the 33-year-old singer and actress extolled the relevance of her series, which she feels is all about breaking down stereotypes.

“These are stories being told by a diverse group of people -- their diverse points of view on life,” says Chopra. “I think it’s extremely relevant and extremely entertaining television.”

Regarding issues of politics and terrorism, Chopra says, “I think important issues need to be addressed in an entertaining way for pop culture, for them to be relevant and for them to hit home with people. And this show does that.”

Much hype has been made about Chopra, an Indian film actress, being showcased on such a powerful prime time platform. For Chopra, color is a non-issue.

“I do not even like being called an ‘actor of color,’” she says. “I believe in a color-blind world. I really think people should be seen for their ability to do their job.”

“Quantico” airs on Sundays on ABC.
