Singer and actress Dulce María recently fueled rumors that she is currently in negotiations to play a villain in the telenovela production "Corazón que miente."

According to Radio Fórmula, the actress revealed that she is in negotiations with popular producer Mapat L. de Zatarain. The producer's latest project for Televisa is "Corazón que miente," which is still in the casting stage. 

The actress explained that, although she couldn't name or give too many details about her upcoming Televisa project, she could reveal that she is working on a telenovela, adding that she is really looking forward to it, reported People En Español.

"It depends on whether everything comes together," the actress said during an event in Mexico City. "I think that in a few days more I will be able to tell you guys."

The 29-year-old also explained that she is willing to work hard, ready to dedicate herself to her upcoming project.

The last telenovela the star appeared in was "Mentir para vivir," but she has since been focusing on her music.

On Oct. 11, Dulce María was honored for her music at an anniversary party for Para Todos magazine. She was presented the award for Best Latin Singer.

Besides sharing her success with her followers on Instagram, the actress has been reconnecting with some old famous friends. The actress shared a photo on Instagram of herself with Christian Chávez, one of her group mates from RBD, who was also at the event.

On Oct. 4, which is known as National RBD Day, the actress and her ex-group mates shared images commemorating their career together, thanking fans for making their dreams a reality, reported Televisa Espectáculos.

The group became a worldwide sensation, launching as a music act after appearing in the telenovela of the same name.

The group included Dulce María; Chávez; Anahí, who recently made her musical comeback and is currently the first lady of Chiapas; actress Maite Perroni, who is starring in the new telenovela "Antes Muerta Que Lichita"; Alfonso Herrera and Christopher von Uckermann.

The pop group saw a lot of success, but broke up in 2009 so that members could pursue individual career goals.
