The fourth season of ABC Family’s “Switched at Birth” has thus far put its characters through financial strife and doomed love, but in the upcoming episode, titled “A Mad Tea Party,” anger will come to the fore.

A teaser for Episode 19 of Season 4 shows Daphne (Katie Leclerc) and Bay (Vanessa Marano) facing off with some intense emotions.

In the upcoming episode, Bay will host Lily’s (Rachel Shenton) baby shower at the Kennish house.

After apparently revealing some burdensome secret to Bay, Daphne says in the clip, “Now I know you’re going to be mad.” At which point Bay growls back, “I’m already mad.”

Then, confronting her birth mother Regina (Constance Marie), she says, “Lying has been your M.O. since you found out about the switch.”

Daphne, as viewers of the hit teen-oriented family drama will know, has been going through a lot of messy romantic relationships lately.

Talk Nerdy With Us recently spoke to Adam Hagenbuch, who plays Daphne’s one time love Mingo on the series, about his place in her world. The actor fully believes that his character should end up with Daphne, saying, “Well, I’m very biased, so obviously I think she needs to be with Mingo."

Noting that Daphne has been stressed out this season, he added, “Every once in a while, she needs help just chilling out and relaxing, and that’s what Mingo really knows how to nail.”

While working on the show, which deals with deafness, Hagenbuch says he has picked up sign language. He sees the skill as a simple matter of respect.

"I mean if you want to be able to communicate, and do more than just insinuating things, and pointing at food, you kind of need to pick up something,” he said.

The next episode of “Switched at Birth” airs Oct. 19 on ABC Family.
