UFC Women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has surely proven her athletic abilities in her phenomenal fights in the MMA, and, for some, Rousey's coach is to be credited. However, that is not the case for Rousey's mother, who has recently slammed her daughter's coach.

Rousey's mother AnnMaria De Mars is no stranger to sports as she herself is an American gold medalist in judo at the 1984 World Championships in Vienna, reports CBS Sports. In De Mars' recent interview with the LatiNation, she spoke of her daughter Rousey's current coach Edmond Traverdyan.

Apparently, De Mars thinks that Traverdyan is a terrible coach for her daughter. "I think Edmund is a terrible coach, and I will say it publicly," DeMars told LatiNation. "I think he's a terrible coach. I think he hit the lottery when Ronda walked in there. She was winning before she ever met him. She probably won 99 percent of the judo matches she ever fought in."

De Mars continues to be bold in her statements against Traverdyan as she believes that Rousey deserves more time off.

"She had won the Junior Worlds when she was 17. She got a bronze medal in the Olympics. She got a silver medal in world championships. She was one of the top athletes in the world when she walked in there, and he wouldn't even give her the time of day for months. Somebody like that is a terrible coach," De Mars said.

"And I think she stays there because it's like somebody [who] pitches a no-hitter when they're wearing red underwear and then they wear that red underwear every day. I think it's superstition. I would caution anybody from going there. I think it's bad that he uses her to lure people in. ... I told Ronda, I'm not going to be quiet about this anymore," De Mars continued.

There are still no official statements from Traverdyan or from Rousey regarding the recent interview of De Mars. However, CBS Sports says that Rousey and Traverydan's current arrangement remains unchanged.

The two are still training together in Glendale, Calif., to prepare for Rousey's upcoming fight next month in UFC 193 Australia, as reported by Fox Sports.

It is more likely that Traverdyan will remain to be Rousey's coach during the upcoming fight, and it is also speculated that Traverdyan and Rousey's mother, who is always in her corner, will also be present for the match.
