PS4 gamers should dust off their hidden blades, guitar controllers and dance moves as the official PlayStation blog site has revealed this week's games for its latest gaming console.

Leading the pack is "Assassin's Creed Syndicate." The eagerly-anticipated continuation in the "Assassin's Creed" series hosts a handful of firsts for the franchise. It will be the first to feature two playable main protagonists in the form of Jacob and Evie Frye.

Set at the height of the Industrial Revolution, the game sees the twins coming to grips with the Assassin Brotherhood as they lead the revolt against the oppressive ruling class. This time around, the battles will literally take to the streets.

For the first time in an "Assassin's Creed" game, gamers can hop aboard moving vehicles to traverse the massive open world.

According to Ubisoft, Jacob and Evie Frye can hijack horse-drawn carriages to travel faster across the cobbled streets of Victorian London. They could also take control of steamboats along the River Thames as well as battle Templars atop moving trains.

Another first is the introduction of gang wars. Jacob, in particular, believes controlling the London underworld is the best way to beat the corrupt oligarchs. Meanwhile, Evie has other pursuits that are more in line with the Assassin Brotherhood than her brasher brother. Gamers have to wait until Oct. 23 to find out how the twins' clashing ideas will eventually play out.

For those wanting to tap their inner rockstars, "Guitar Hero Live" will simulate the rock 'n' roll experience complete with new tracks, new guitar controller, and a more responsive AI audience.

"We want to come back with some big innovation and to do that we almost felt like we needed to start from scratch. It could've been quite easy to just do the same gameplay, update the graphics, and throw in a new setlist. But we felt like we needed to do something completely different in each area," creative director Jamie Jackson told IGN.

As for "Just Dance 2016," the Just Dance Controller app for iOS and Android sets gamers loose on the dance floor with no motion sensor cameras or added hardware. Click here to know more about the next-gen dance video game.
