Apple trimmed its iPhone returns policy this week from 30 days to 14 days, which puts it more in line with other Apple products such as MacBooks and iPads.

The move also aligns the company with its competitors that have had the policy for a longer period of time. Apple has room for error thanks to its successful sales of the iPhone, and if this move were to hurt iPhone sales, the company would have time to make adjustments and still have success.

The change in the return policy marked just another piece of news in what has been a busy week for the tech giant. Apple rolled out the new iOS 7.1 update this week, which also made headlines in the jailbreak community since the new update has the power to kill jailbreaks if users make the upgrade. Thus, it comes as no surprise that members of the Evad3rs jailbreaking team has been sending out tweets to notify users of the update and to warn them about the possible consequences of making the update.

In the rumor mill for Apple products, it seems to be that the iPhone 6 is expected to make it to the shelves by the Fall, if not sooner. Some reports have suggested a possible June release but the general consensus seems to indicate that many people expect a September or October release for the next iPhone and the iOS 8 operating system.

Speaking of iOS 8, rumors are suggesting that we may see vast improvements in the maps application. The current one on iOS 7 sometimes has been ineffective due to GPS issues and other problems.
