The "Dallas Buyers Club" lead actor Matthew McConaughey will forever be remembered with the catch phrase he used during his recent Best Actor Oscar speech which said, "alright, alright, alright." Many are still wondering though where the award winning actor got it from.

To put an end to all curiosity for the trademark phrase of the latest Academy Awards, Reddit researched an old interview of McConaughey way back in 2011. He was discussing then his character development for his first movie. He mentioned that his inspiration then was The Doors singer, Jim Morrison for the 1993 flick called "Dazed and Confused," states Huffington Post.

In the indie classic movie, McConaughey portrayed the role of the Wooderson character who is a drugged skirtchaser, Junkee wrote. The movie's story contains a great plot which involves not just the popular band The Doors but also revolved a lot around topics of weed and Marisa Ribisi.

The interview popped on the official YouTube channel of George Stroumboulopoulos' show last week.

The actor who also appeared in "The Wolf of Wall Street" explained in the interview that he was listening to a live recording of Jim Morrison's band when the singer mentioned "all right" for four times.

""I go, 'Man, he's about four things: his car, he's about getting high, he's about rock 'n' roll and picking up chicks.' And I go, 'I'm in my car, I'm high as a kite, I'm listening to rock 'n' roll ... action! And there's the chick!' McConaughey said on fitting himself on the Wooderson character he was to play then. "'Alright, alright, alright' Three out of four!" he finished.

Matthew McConaughey is a known versatile actor in Hollywood who became known for playing the bongos while naked according to Today. Recently, he has earned a lot of high praises for movies such as "The Wolf of Wall Street" and the "Dallas Buyers Club" where he grabbed the Oscar Best Actor trophy.
