The question of whether Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen will resurrect the popular game is yet to be answered, but the game developer is still cashing in.

Nguyen was said to be raking in tens of thousands of dollars a day, and according to a recent interview, he indicated that he is indeed still making money from the popular game. The game's sudden emergence led to a spike in popularity and Nguyen simply could not take it anymore. People complained that they were losing the jobs and that the game was taking over their lives, and it reached a boiling point. Nguyen played it safe and just pulled the game entirely.

As time passes, Nguyen probably realizes he is missing out on opportunities for even more money. Even as the game faded, its popularity stayed sky-high. Even as other similar applications spun off Flappy Bird, people just wanted the original game back. The game is still so popular that people have gone out of their way to find the game elsewhere, such as via the iOS 7 Jailbreak that allows gamers to not only download the game but to apparently hack their way through to the high score. Considering how the game is not even on the market anymore, this is a big deal for those who just missed out on the opportunity to download the game before it was removed.

In addition, gamers barely had any time to react to it being pulled from the app stores. The app creator only gave people a small window of time to download the game before its removal, and even if a person thought about possibly downloading it a few days down the road, it wouldn't be possible once it was removed.

As we mentioned, there are ways to hack your way through to the high score, but at this point it might be smarter to just wait and see if Nguyen wants to put the game back on the app store. At least this way you won't have to go through the process of installing the iOS 7 jailbreak if the only thing you wanted was the game.

What do you think? Do you believe people should wait and see if it comes back out on app stores, or should people keep going after the iOS 7 Jailbreak version?
