Season 5 of Glee continues Tuesday at 8/7c on Fox, but will Naya Rivera, who plays Santana Lopez, be a part of the rest of this season or the subsequent final season?

Last month, Rivera posted a tweet that foreshadowed her possible exit from the show that she has been a star of since its 2009 premiere.

"On set with Glee shooting a very sweet Brit/Santana scene! #starttogetherendtogether," she said via Twitter on Feb. 5.

Meanwhile, Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry, seems to purposely leave out Rivera when discussing the upcoming New York episodes.

"It's New York now..." Michelle said during an interview with E! News on the set of Glee. "So it's me, and Chris Colfer, and Darren Criss, and Chord Overstreet and Kevin McHale."

According to E! News, however, "show sources" say that Rivera is not completely out of the picture. The 27-year-old actress will reportedly miss "at least two episodes" of season 5. She will, however, return before the season's May finale.

But will Rivera reprise the role of Santana for the sixth and final season?

"According to one Glee source, that decision has not been finalized-for Naya or for any of the cast," E! News reports. "Producers have until June 30 to determine who will be a part of season six."

This might not be true, however, as Brad Falchuk, Glee executive producer, has previously said otherwise and described season 6 as a "comeback."

"We do know exactly who is coming over and what the storylines will be," he said while on set.

The 100th episode of Glee airs March 18. Heather Morris, who played Brittany, Amber Riley, who played Mercedes, and Harry Shum Jr. who played Mike, will guest star alongside Gwenyth Paltrow and Kristin Chenoweth.

Season 6 of Glee begins Fall of 2014.
