On the next episode of "The Walking Dead," a new character appears, but it may be difficult for the crew, and fans, to trust a new face after the tragic turn for Glen (Steven Yeun) in the last installment.

In Episode 4, titled "Here's Not Here," a new character and a new setting will be introduced, according to Spoilers Guide. Synopsis details for "TWD" have become closely guarded secrets as of late, so details about these new aspects are scarce at this point.

Meanwhile, the harrowing events on the last episode, especially the apparent tragic fate for longtime fan favorite Glen, certainly took their toll on fans. The people of Alexandria are now clueless as to where he is or what may have happened to him.

Trust will start becoming more of an issue again, now that the Walker herd has been diverted and the Wolves have left their mark on the battered community.

A growing theme in the season is the evolution of the people of Alexandria, who are slowly learning what they must do in order to survive the zombie apocalypse. The arrival of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and company brought that transition to a head, as the crew battled the Walkers and the vicious Wolves to defend the town.

Meanwhile, executive producer Greg Nicotero talked about Glen's fate with TV Guide. The EP did say he could give fans a little hope, but he did not say that Glen was alive.

"I think we will see Glenn again this season, but in what capacity we don't know," Nicotero told TV Guide. "It's great that there's a lot of debate about it, and that just shows the passion of the fans. And six seasons in, this story line just shows that we're really, really committed to not pulling any punches and telling a story that we feel that the audience will respond to. It's not always going to be a happy ending, especially in our world."

Nicotero spoke evasively about the character's final scene. When asked specifically if the scene was choreographed to make it look like Glen was dying, he provided an ambiguous answer.

"It certainly looked that way from where I was sitting. I was right there. I was actually covered in blood in the middle of the pile. I was actually the walker that tore the stomach open," he said.

Episode 4 will air on AMC on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
