Most of the time it is difficult to tell the difference between older and newer editions of MacBook Pro. The recent 2013 release of the latest MacBook Pro computers marked the second year that Apple came out with a retina screen, so users have even gotten used to the only glaringly new aspect of the computer.

Thus, if it tends to look the same with each release, most users wouldn't even notice the difference. How in the world will Apple continue to sell something that never seems to change? According to rumors swirling around the world of Apple, this could change pretty soon.

Apple may be adding more options for users, including a 12-inch MacBook option, according to Mac Rumors. Interestingly enough, the price of the 13-inch MacBook already went down after the last release so users will likely be wondering how much cheaper a 12-inch option could be. Considering that it is only one inch smaller, the price different likely will not be the same as the difference between the MacBook Pro 15-inch and the MacBook Pro 13-inch versions.

The whole 12-inch screen thing gets even cloudier when we dig deeper. Some reports have hinted that the 12-inch screen might be on the MacBook Air. It is not yet clear whether or not it will be available for both the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, and Apple has not confirmed any speculation. Of course, this is not surprising in the slightest considering how Apple never opens up too much about their products prior to announcing and unveiling them at events.
