The 'kiss cam' is a time-tested tradition at sporting events across the country, getting countless couples to share an intimate moment with the rest of the stadium. Despite its history, however, the kiss cam has had its troubles lately.

Most recently, a young man and woman were seated together at a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game on Saturday. When the camera settled upon them however, the man inexplicably became embarassed and ran away from the woman.

"This is my sister," the man tells MLB.com. "When I saw us up there on the Kiss Camera I was just like, you know what, it'd be really funny if I just took off running right now...I'm like halfway up the stairs and I look back and I'm still on there and I'm like, 'Oh man, this is embarrassing."

Given the fact that incest is generally frowned upon in America, his actions suddenly begin to make a bit more sense. At the time, however, those in the stadium were shocked at the man's seemingly insensitive display of cold feet.

In the end, however, it was all fun and games. Unfortunately for the kiss cam, such light-hearted and understandable endings are not always the case.

At a Fresno Grizzlies minor league baseball game earlier this month, another young man and woman were sitting together at the game. When the kiss cam came on, the young man was too preoccupied on his cell phone to notice, ignoring his girlfriend's pleas to look up.

While that was unfortunate, the kiss cam gave the man a second opportunity to please his girlfriend. Rather than seize the moment however, the man agitatedly dismissed the woman's attempts to get his attention. Once he did something similar a third time, the woman had had enough.

She proceeded to stand up and became visibly upset with the man. From there, the woman took her drink and poured it all over her (now presumable ex-) boyfriend. She walked out of the stadium arm-in-arm with the mascot.
