Not only will Fifth Harmony be making their Latin Grammy Awards debut, but they will also be taking the stage for a special performance with reggaeton star Maluma.

According to Idolator, the Colombian singer and the group, who are both signed to parent music label Sony, will be performing together for the first time on Latin music's biggest night.

The pairing may seem a bit unlikely at first but a closer looks proves that the collaboration makes sense. Both acts appeal to youth, with some of their fans overlapping, and are currently some of the biggest names in their respective genres whose careers only keep getting better.

Fifth Harmony, currently working on their second album, just finished their first European tour which proved the international success of their debut album, "Reflection." They are also about to be honored as "Group of the Year" at Billboard's Women in Music event on Dec. 11.

The 21-year-old reggaeton star is nominated for Best Urban Performance at this year's Latin Grammy Awards. The nomination is the star's second with his first being a Best New Artist nomination in 2013.  His second album, "Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy," released on Oct. 30, debuted at the number one spot on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart.

"Everything starts with a dream, powered by passion, desire, and discipline. From there on, it's a great supporting team materializing each idea, and this is a clear result of that," the artist told Billboard about his successful sophomore album.

In a press release courtesy of the Latin Recording Academy, the pop group and Maluma were named on a second list of performers which includes OMI, Ricky Martin, Espinoza Paz and Banda el Recodo.

Previously announced performers include Bomba Estéreo, Will Smith, J Balvin, Julión Álvarez, Choc Quib Town, Silvestre Dangond, Nicky Jam, Natalia Jiménez, Natalia Lafourcade, Juan Luis Guerra, Major Lazer and mØ, Raquel Sofía and Matisse.

The annual Latin Grammy Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 19.
